Day 1 Tbilisi
Meeting at Tbilisi International airport and transfer to the hotel.
Sightseeing tour in Tbilisi: Old Town (Abanotubani – the ancient part of the city, known for its sulfuric baths, Meidan square – the place where the Georgian Orthodox Church, Catholic Church, Mosque, Synagogue and Armenian Apostholic Church are located several meters away from each other, Metechi Church, Narikala Castle, Shardeni Street with its wine cellars, cafes and art galleries).
Lunch at the restaurant with traditional Georgian dishes.
Mtatsminda (Holy Mountain), St. David Church (XIX c); Mtatsminda (Holy Mountain), St. David Church (XIX c); Sameba (Holy Trinity Cathedral) – the third-tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world. Aghmashenebeli Avenue (pedestrian street) with a lot cafes, bars and galleries.
Free time. Overnight in Tbilisi
Day 2 Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Ananuri – Gudauri – Stepantsminda – Tbilisi – 250 km – 10:00 – 19:00 (20:00) 9 -10 hours
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia: Jvari Monastery, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral which are designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, a brief walk along picturesque streets of Mtskheta. Departure to Stepantsminda (formerly Kazbegi). En route medieval Ananuri Fortress situated on the Georgian Military Road.
Upon arival in Stepantsminda you will explore a 14th century Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, located at an elevation of 2170 meters.
Lunch at the HB restaurant, with traditional dishes typical for this region.
Drive back to Tbilisi.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 3 – Tbilisi – Sighnaghi – Bodbe – Tbilisi – 250 km – 10:00 – 18:00 – 8 hours
Departure to Kakheti, the cradle of Georgian winemaking, where you will spend a memorable day visiting Signaghi, also known as the city of love, walk along its narrow cobbled streets, enjoy breathtaking views of the Alazani Valley and visit a local museum, which houses paintings by Pirosmani and Elene Akhvlediani. You will explore Bodbe Monastery, where relics of St. Nino, Equal to the Apostles and the Enlightener of Georgia, are kept.
Wine tasting and dinner with organic food in the family restaurant which is located in the village near Signaghi.
Drive back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 4 – Tbilisi – Gori fortress – Uplistsikhe cave town – Tbilisi – 300 km – 10:00 – 18:00 – 8 hours
Breakfast at the hotel.
During this day you will visit Gori, Stalin’s birth town, main attractions of which are Stalin Museum and Goristsikhe, medieval fortress. You will explore Uplistsikhe (Fortress of the Lord), an ancient cave town and one of the oldest settlements in Georgia.
Drive back to Tbilisi. Free time. Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 5: Tbilisi – Borjomi – Bakuriani – 250 km – 10:00 – 17:00 – 7 hours
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to Borjomi, a resort town located in the picturesque Borjomi Gorge. A walk along the Borjomi Park, where you can taste natural Borjomi mineral water and take a cable car to Borjomi Plateau to enjoy breathtaking views of the town.
Drive to Georgia’s iconic winter resort of Bakuriani, where the skiing season lasts from December to April.
Overnight in Bakuriani.
Day 6:
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day in Bakuriani ski resort.
Overnight in Bakuriani.
Day 7:
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Tbilisi International airport.
