Description

Gudauri is a young and rapid developing ski resort located in Kazbegi region of Georgia, 120 km from Tbilisi, at the height of 2,196 m (about 7,200 feet) near the Cross Pass.

In winter, visitors enjoy skiing in addition to a vast range of alternative outdoor activities. Skiers of all levels can find impressive opportunities for slalom, giant slalom, and downhill skiing. Heli Ski is available throughout the season!

The mountain slopes are covered with snow for 4-5 months, from December to late April, and provide great opportunities for snowboarding. The average snow depth on these slopes reaches 2.5 m.
The total length of Gudauri ski runs exceeds 57 kilometres and meets the highest international standards. There are slopes of all difficulty levels for skiing and snowboarding and all of them are FIS certified. The slopes are accessible via several platter lifts, moving carpets, chairlifts, and a cabin lift.

In Gudauri, the base lift is situated over 2,200 meters above sea level and the top lift is at 3,285 meters.

Children can have lots of fun at playgrounds that can be found in the village near the hotels, or use moving carpets and take private or group ski lessons at ski schools. Tubing is one of the non-ski activities that can be found in Gudauri.

The New Year week is considered the peak of the season in Gudauri, with visitors flocking from various regions of Georgia and abroad. There is no better launch pad than Gudauri for exploring the Greater Caucasus, at any time throughout the year.

Day 1

Arrival in Tbilisi. Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Checking-in to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing tour in Tbilisi: Old Town (Abanotubani – the ancient part of the city, known for its sulfuric baths, Meidan square – the place where the Georgian Orthodox Church, Mosque, Synagogue and Armenian Apostholic Church are located several meters away from each other, Metechi Church, Narikala Castle, Shardeni Street  with its wine cellars, cafes and art galleries). Mtatsminda (Holy Mountain), St. David Church (XIX c).

Departure to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia: Jvari Monastery, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral which are designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, a brief walk along picturesque streets of Mtskheta.

Transfer to Gudauri. Checking-in to the hotel. Overnight in Gudauri

Enjoy rest and skiing in Gudauri!

Day 10

After breakfast transfer to Tbilisi International Airport.
