Day 1
Arrival in Tbilisi. Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel.
Sightseeing tour in Old Town (Abanotubani – the ancient part of the city, known for its sulfuric baths, Meidan square – the place where the Georgian Orthodox Church, Mosque, Synagogue and Armenian Apostholic Church are located several meters away from each other, Metechi Church, Sharden Street with its wine cellars, cafes and art galleries). Waterfall in Leghvtakhevi ravine, Anchiskhati, the oldest surviving church in Tbilisi, a quirky clock tower next to the Gabriadze Theater. Take a cable car to the Narikala Fortress and funicular railway to Mtatsminda (Holy Mountain). Sameba Cathedral – Holy Trinity Cathedral – the third-tallest Orthodox cathedral in the world.
A walk along the central avenues of the city (Rustaveli Avenue and newly renovated Agmashenebeli Avenue). Excursion to the National Museum of Georgia, which houses a gold collection of valuable finds belonging to different periods and epochs.
Dinner at one of the best restaurants with special New Year’s show. Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time in the morning. In the afternoon departure to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. Explore Jvari Monastery, located on the top of the mountain at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, which is known as a place where Christ’s robe was buried. Both Jvari and Svetitskhoveli are designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. A brief walk along picturesque streets of Mtskheta. Drive to Uplistsikhe (Fortress of the Lord), an ancient cave town and one of the oldest settlements in Georgia. Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Kakheti, which is considered the birthplace of winemaking and is one of the most beautiful regions of Georgia. Visit Signaghi, also known as the city of love, walk along its narrow cobbled streets, enjoy breathtaking views of the Alazani Valley, visit a local museum, which houses paintings by Pirosmani and Elene Akhvlediani, and explore Bodbe Monastery, where relics of St. Nino,Equal to the Apostles and the Enlightener of Georgia,are kept. Traditional Christmas dinner with winetasting in the family wine cellar.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 5
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning free time. In the afternoon, departure to the winery “Chateau Mukhrani”, located 35 km from Tbilisi, where you will participate in winetasting, listen to the fascinating stories about the Bagration dynasty and get unforgettable impressions of what is like to visit the magnificent manor of Prince Bagration Mukhransky.
Dinner at the restaurant “Chateau Mukhrani”. Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 6
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time. Transfer to the Airport.
